Dear Parents/Guardians,
The Brisbane School District is excited to welcome our students and families to the 2026-27 school year! The first day of school is Wednesday, August 19. Students should be on campus no later than 8:20am. The school year calendar is available at this link.
Required: Please Confirm Emergency Contacts and Permissions
Before the first day of school, we ask all families to update and confirm student emergency contacts and review permissions and other important information available in our Parent Portal https://brisbane.schoolwise.com/. This is the same portal used to register your child for school. Click on “First Day Packets”. Please use the same email address you used when registering your child. If you do not remember your password, use the "Click Here if you Forgot your Password" link to reset it. If you have changed your email address, would like help with translation, or help completing any forms, please contact the District Office at [email protected] or 415-467-0550.
Welcome Back Family Picnic
We welcome all families to the school district’s Welcome Back Picnic on Saturday, August 22, from 1pm to 3pm at the Brisbane Community Park. We will have free “Mr. Softee” ice cream, music, free fingerprinting for new parent volunteers, and information from our Parent Teacher Organization, afterschool care providers with the Cities of Brisbane and Daly City, the Brisbane Library, local preschool programs, and additional County resources. Please join us!
New Parent Volunteer Requirement
Due to changes in state law, our volunteer procedures have changed. To volunteer, we require tuberculosis clearance (once/4 years), fingerprinting (only once), the volunteer form, and now child abuse reporting training. Please read the important information at this link.
Program and Facilities Improvements
We are improving the District’s literacy instruction with a new phonics program being implemented in the early grades and new assessment tools. We are adding an exciting “gold rush” field trip in fourth grade to the Coloma Outdoor Discovery School, continuing our eighth graders’ field trip to Yosemite, and introducing Spanish language instruction to students in grades four through eight. Additionally, we are making significant facilities investments at each school to optimize our students’ learning experience: an audio-visual system for the Lipman Gym, shade structures and additional classrooms at Brisbane Elementary, and a landscape and playground refurbishment at Panorama Elementary.
There’s lots to look forward to, and we are motivated to make it our best school year yet!
