At Home Kits To Be Sent Home

Brisbane School District Community,

As we embark on the next stage of the Pandemic, I wanted to reach out to the community to let you know our strategy for testing individuals who may be considered close contacts. We will be following the updated CDPH Group Tracing recommendations. Exposed students, regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status, should get tested for COVID-19 with at least one diagnostic test obtained within 3-5 days after last exposure, unless they had COVID-19 within the last 90 days.

We will continue to notify the whole school of all cases as well as notify those families who may have been a close contact to a positive case and test the students in the timeframe according to the CDPH guidelines.

The health and safety of our students, staff, and communities remains a top priority for BSD. While masks are not required, they are strongly recommended.  Additional layers of mitigation remain in place including:

  • Vaccine and booster access throughout the County
  • COVID-19 testing opportunities
  • Masks for students and staff who want to continue masking
  • Physical distancing to the greatest extent possible
  • Increased air ventilation (HVAC)
  • Testing and monitoring of those considered close contacts
  • Limiting visitors on campus

As always, frequent handwashing and staying home when you are sick are still strongly recommended.
